a sickly haze hides above the rooftop tiles
and down in the alley,
the ephemeral thrill of life & caustic delusion

across the way thru the window panes
i see the bulging eyes of a boy who hangs,
his suicide refrain sends a spark thru the dark & in my heart,
i feel something move

while the ragmen roll thru the streets as mold
lost / alive their eyes click and shift like knives
while they brag and gag on all their precious trash
their palisades of silence as violence... allllllright

*anthemic guitar catharsis*

if I,
take a break as the judgement sooth
and peel my mind from the judgement booth
if I,
turn my eyes to my own dark, dreary room the fish are dead,
and the armchair is broken
then the truth terror grips and I lurch awake
and throw myself on lonesome parades
flail my best from the diamond in my chest, but nothing's moving and nobody's waiting
so it's drunk to hell & I'm nighttime still
and the world wears on against my will
so I collapse with the Hollywood sign in my sight
& just laugh&laugh&laugh....

but WhyYYyYYYYYyY do the palms sag in silent agony?
and whyYyYyYyYYyyyyY does the sun only shine yesturdae?

Well, when the shit hits the fan we'll just see
not what's left to be but just what is, baby (?) (baby?) (am I a baby?)
now I've got a lot of BIG ideas on how to run the whole Thing into the ground...
but who wants to hear from an in-between?
Whose at the bottom of the top?
Whose main work is just waking up?
